Telco Cloud

Automate and take control of all your workloads with the best performance and cost in the market

Telco Cloud is a solution that allows the operator to have an on-premise private cloud with total control of the infrastructure, from the physical components to the orchestration of network functions, using innovative open technologies that interoperate with each other, which allows reaching lower TCOs, making smarter investments possible.

Key
Principles

These principles guide us in any Telco Cloud implementation:

  • Open technologies:
These technologies represent the main enabler for a cost-effective implementation, based on vendor-independent standards and with communities constantly searching for innovation.
  • On-premise deployment:

We take advantage of performance improvement techniques such as EPA (Enhanced Platform Awareness) to get lower latency values and higher speeds.

  • Horizontal NFV model::

Unique model that transfers control to the operator, ensuring the maximum compatibility with NF (Network Function) vendors without giving up knowledge and making better use of the infrastructure layer.

  • IT workload support:

Convergence is a reality, and based on that we deliver a cloud that allows the interaction between Telco and IT workloads under the same cloud.

How does it work?

The following open source technologies represent the best levels of efficiency, maturity, innovation, performance and functionality.

Network hardware and software

  • Whitebox Networking: High capacity, open specification switches for any function in the network.
  • Network Operating Systems: Combination of open software and disaggregated whiteboxes, featuring the IPInfusion SONIC and OcNOS project as the main software distributions.
  • Software Defined Networking: External control for the centralized management and automation of network equipment, with support for any vendor, featuring the ONOS project.

Compute Infrastructure Software

  • Open Compute Project: Highly efficient open specification servers, storage systems and racks.
  • Linux operating system: The most used operating system in Telco Cloud, with Ubuntu as our most recommended system.
  • KVM virtualization: Virtual-machine-based virtualization, powered by the Linux Kernel.
  • Container virtualization: Agility and lightness on a shared OS, featuring the Docker project.
  •  Software-defined storage: Management of generic/COTS servers with disks as a carrier-class storage system, removing the need for proprietary storage hardware, featuring the Ceph project
  • Container Infrastructure Service Management: Management and operation of containers and their services, featuring Kubernetes and its cloud-native ecosystem, in virtualized or bare-metal flavors.
  • Virtual infrastructure management: Management and operation of virtual machines and their services, featuring OpenStack as an end-to-end private cloud solution.

Orchestration, automation and monitoring

  • NFV orchestration: Automation of the deployment and operation of Telco network functions, featuring Open Source MANO as the most specialized software in the industry.
  • IT/Hybrid Orchestration: Automation of the deployment and operation of applications in general, featuring ManageIQ as an hybrid-cloud orchestrator.
  • Multi-vendor automation: Automation tools like Ansible, Terraform and Python libraries to cover any kind of automation, for services running on top of any vendor’s software or hardware.
  • Multi-vendor monitoring: Performance and fault-management with the most modern and compatible software stacks, featuring Grafana, Prometheus and Elastic software.
  • PaaS for containerized applications: Tools that allow a more agile deployment of software in cloud-native environments, as well as centralized management of kubernetes clusters.
  • Identity management: Using tools such as Keycloak and FreeIPA, identity management is achieved within the Telco Cloud environment, and can be integrated with existing Active Directory solutions.

We have an open approach
that covers the end-to-end

From the hardware for servers and switches with their respective rack, through the deployment of cloud software for virtual machines and containers, to the orchestration of workloads, automations and PaaS tools that allow the operation of a carrier-grade Telco Cloud.

Our Telco Cloud is all
over Latin America

From the hardware for servers and switches with their respective rack, through the deployment of cloud software for virtual machines and containers, to the orchestration of workloads, automations and PaaS tools that allow the operation of a carrier-grade Telco Cloud.
