Internet para Todos

Challenge
Internet para Todos (IpT) had a clear and complex mission: to connect the unconnected in rural areas of Peru. To achieve this, it required a high-performance Telco Cloud capable of operating more than two thousand shared 4G sites across multiple operators, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and avoiding dependencies on proprietary vendors.
Solution
Whitestack designed and deployed an Open Telco Cloud based on open-source technologies and standard hardware, enabling IpT to deliver network services under a Network as a Service (NaaS) model. The solution integrated COTS and Open Compute Project servers, Whitebox switches, OpenStack (WhiteCloud) as the cloud operating system, Ceph (WhiteStorage) for software-defined storage, and a monitoring suite based on open projects such as Prometheus and Grafana.
Results
IpT became the first operator in the region to run Open Compute Project servers in production, achieving high operational efficiency, cost reduction, and a scalable, resilient infrastructure. Today, its Telco Cloud supports Tier 1 production services and lays the foundation for technologies such as Kubernetes, CNFs, and OpenRAN.
